Almost.at – Almost.at is a real-time event tracker. This Web application works on Twitter’s platform through the Cappuccino Web framework. The application takes information about an event and breaks it into the following four columns. The first column includes popular topics such as breaking news and events. Once a users clicks on a topic the remaining three columns will be automatically filled with recent tweets about the topic, rich media from Flickr, Twitpic and YouTube, and relevant links that have been sent out. After an event is selected, the fields will automatically refresh every ten seconds, allowing the user to easily keep up with real-time conversations.
Beyond the ease of use, this application helps other followers to determine who is attending an event and who is just talking about it.
