Word of the week: Search phrase

By Word of the Week on May 15th, 2015

As it relates to search engine marketing, a search phrase is the word or string of words users type into their search bars before find and clicking on an ad. Ads may or may not appear for particular search phrases depending on the restrictions of the search type: broad, phrase or exact. Periodically reviewing the search phrases people use before clicking on your ads can help you focus in on which keywords to target, adding more keywords in high value search phrases, or exclude, creating negative keywords from phrases with high irrelevancy.
