Clean data refers to data, or information, that is free of errors, contradictions, duplicates and other mistakes. When sending marketing emails and other communication, it is imperative to certify that your dataset is clean. Clean, accurate data for contacts will ensure that your communication reaches the intended recipients with minimal bounces, unsubscribes and spam complaints. Successful marketing automation also requires a clean data so each prospect has only one profile and those prospects are legitimate. Data scrubbing and de-duplication tools are readily available and may be included with certain marketing automation platforms.
