#tagdef: Hashtags are in important part of Twitter. They make your tweets more easily searchable, they let your
followers know what interests you, and they provide an easy metric for keeping up with how popular your topic is. But some hashtags are not so easy to decipher. With new people, events and news items being discussed each day, and with the need to stay under 140 characters, it can be difficult to keep up with what these hashtags are referring to. That’s where #tagdef comes in. This simple tool provides the meaning behind tags that are currently trending, new tags and popular tags, and there is a search function for users to find the meanings of hashtags that are less popular. For tags that are not yet defined, #tagdef allows any user to submit the definition.
