Spindex: Introduced a few months back by Microsoft, Spindex is finally available for the public to begin using. The goal of Spindex is to bring your whole social media world onto one page. After logging in using either Facebook, Twitter or Windows Live, users choose which networks and RSS feeds they would like to include in their stream, and an easy-to-follow screen is created that sorts out each feed and social network. From the Spindex dashboard, users can post to their Facebook or Twitter accounts and comment on, share or retweet their friends’ posts that appear in the stream. A gallery of recently shared pictures is also included in the dashboard, as well as a list of links shared by the people that the user follows. The navigation on the left side of the screen includes a search bar and a list of trending topics from the user’s stream. With Spindex, Microsoft has an edge over similar products due to its visual appeal and ease of use.
