Social media made easy
Social media is the hot topic right now, and with all of the Twitter and Facebook buzz that is currently going on, it is easy to get confused about which sites you and/or your company should join. This YouTube video explains what social media is all about - in terms of ice cream - and how a company can utilize social media and micro-blogging to their advantage. Although no company should completely ignore social media or pretend like it is a passing fad, you need to carefully consider the benefits of each medium before jumping in feet first (MySpace may not cater to your target audience, but Sermo may hit your company's target audience so well you have to be on it all day long.)
Even healthcare clinics are using social media to help their company. With the current economic downturn and the easy access to a large audience, social media is an easy and cheap way to make sure that your messages and brand remain in the front of your target audience. Maybe it is time for you to jump on the bandwagon, just make sure that it is one that will help your company.
