MEDgle: Doubling as both a search engine for patients and a resource for doctors, MEDgle provides a unique service to its users. Upon arriving at the site’s home page, visitors are immediately prompted to choose whether they are a patient or a provider. For patients, MEDgle is a comprehensive search engine of symptoms, diagnoses, procedures and medications designed to increase the patients’ knowledge about what they are dealing with and the best course of action. For doctors, the Clinical GPS portion of MEDgle is a service (currently in beta) that acts as another expert voice for the doctors and nurses that are trying to treat patients. Entering patient information and symptoms helps doctors determine probabilities of various illnesses and makes sure that certain possible diagnoses are not overlooked.
