Proxlet: In keeping with last week’s theme of filtering through your social media feeds, Proxlet is an add-on for Twitter that allows users to block or hide feeds that they don’t want to see. Proxlet can be integrated no matter where you use Twitter – on the Web, through a browser extension, with a desktop client such as TweetDeck, or even on your mobile device. Similar to Facebook, which allows users to hide status updates of their friends without defriending, the blocked user has no idea that you’re not interested in their tweets. This works great for spam apps, hashtags that are not of interest, or friends who tweet just a little too often about what they’re eating for dinner.
